Highlands Classical Chamber Ensemble plans three upcoming concerts

The Highlands Classical Chamber Ensemble will appear in concert at the following locations: 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 10 at The Inn at Dirigo Pines in Orono; 7 p.m. on Friday, March 16 at the Dover-Foxcroft Congregational Church; and 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 18 at the Greenville Consolidated School (a reception will follow this program).

These concerts will feature solo and ensemble works by Boccherini, Mozart, Beethoven, Schumann, Ravel, and others. Appearing will be Margery Aumann on piano, Susan Ramsey on violin, Ruth Fogg on cello, Ellen Dickenson on bassoon, and Deb Maynard on flute and saxophone.

The Highlands Classical Chamber Ensemble includes professional musicians from the Dover-Foxcroft area. Several members teach on the faculty of Foxcroft Academy. Highlands Classical has presented concerts to enthusiastic acclaim since 2012.

The concerts have suggested donations, and there is free admission to all students. For more information, please call 564-0043.
