Dexter grad Peach named NAC Rookie of the Week

BANGOR — Husson University women’s basketball freshman Megan Peach, a resident of Garland and a 2017 graduate of Dexter Regional High School, was selected as the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Rookie of the Week for the week ending Jan. 14.

Peach posted her best week as an Eagle, averaging 12 points, 8.7 rebounds, two steals and 1.3 blocks in a 2-1 week. The 6-foot forward/center netted 13 points, gathered nine rebounds and claimed one steal in a win over the University of Maine-Farmington. She then tallied 10 points, seven rebounds, one steal and one block in a tough 54-53 loss to Colby-Sawyer College of New London, N.H.

To end the week Peach recorded a double-double performance with 13 points and 10 rebounds, to go along with four steals, three blocks and one assist in a win over New England College of Henniker, N.H.
