Be part of a medieval dinner theater at Central Hall

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Anyone interested in being part of a medieval dinner theater being held on March 31 should come to a planning meeting at the Center Theatre on at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 13. The Center Theatre and the Slightly Off-Center Players will be producing a medieval dinner theatre called “The Ring of Lies” at the Commons Event Center at Central Hall on March 31. The organizations are looking for both male and female actors teenage or older, as well as people who would be interested in helping with planning, decorations and food preparation.

“We’re very excited that Central Hall will be available for this event,” said Patrick Myers, the executive director of the Center Theatre. “The Center Theatre isn’t set up well for a dinner theater but the newly renovated event space in Central Hall is perfect. We hope to make dinner theater a regular part of the calendar as time goes on.”

Those who are interested in being part of the event, but can’t make the meeting on the 13th are encouraged to contact the Center Theatre to become involved. Tickets for the dinner theater will go on sale in February.

All proceeds will support live theater in the community. For more information contact the Center Theatre at 564-8943 or info@centertheatre.org or visiting the box office at 20 East Main Street between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays. The Center Theatre is a 501(c)3 nonprofit with a mission to make the arts a part of life in the Maine Highlands.
