CRUISE ON IN — Steve Berry of Bangor drives his 1935 Ford during last year’s Piscataquis Cruise-In. This year the Cruise-In, which is being sponsored by the Piscataquis County Republican Committee, will take place Sunday, June 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the fairground baseball field in Dover-Foxcroft.

The hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Come see antique, unique, classic and cool cars at the Piscataquis Cruise-In. Kids under 12 get in free with an adult. Everyone is invited to come, the cars are dazzling, the food is fresh, the drinks are cold, the door prizes are great, the games are fun, the music is rockin’, one “People’s Choice” car takes home a trophy and at the end of the day there’s a live auction.
The Piscataquis Cruise-In is popular with both car owners and visitors who like to “talk shop.” Everybody has their own memories when it comes to the cars of their younger years. It’s only natural to think back to that first car they owned, or fixed-up, or that special “Friday night date to the drive-in” car.
Once again, the safety division of The National Street Rod Association will perform a 23-point safety inspection for any car owner who requests one. The inspection covers such items as front end components, light bulbs, neutral safety switches and parking brakes. The inspection procedure is performed free of charge.
The Piscataquis Cruise-In is sponsored by the Piscataquis County Republican Committee. For more information see them on Facebook or contact Lani Stites at 564-8739 or excals@hotmail.com.
