Library plans summer reading program

    DEXTER — The Abbott Memorial Library is getting ready for summer reading fun. This year there will be a summer story time for the younger crowd, ages 2-8 are invited every Friday morning at 11 a.m. for stories and a craft.

    The library is looking for kids and teens who are excited to do some reading and discussing of books for this year’s summer. Book clubs  for the ages 9-11 will meet every other Tuesday at 4 p.m. The first book will be the “Tale of Despereaux” by Kate DiCamillo. The  second book club will be for ages 12-14 and will be meeting every other Wednesday at 4 p.m. The first book will be “Life as We Knew It” by  Susan Beth Pfeffer. Refreshments will be served at every book club meeting.
    Participants must register no later then June 21 by 6 p.m. For more information and to register please call 924-7292.
