Paint and sip Saturday at Center Theatre

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Center Theatre, Slightly Off-Center Players, and Center Coffee House will host a paint and sip event at the Center Theatre from 3 to 6 p.m., on Saturday, July 8. The event, which will raise money for live theatrical events at the Center Theatre, is for people of all ages and all abilities who want to gather together with an experienced painter, to practice and enhance their painting skills. All attendees will enjoy light snacks from the Center Theatre; beer, wine, coffee, tea, and other beverages from Center Coffee House; and fruit juice and water for younger painters or anyone else who would prefer them.

Artist Connie LaGross (“Accidental Artist – Connie LaGross” on Facebook) has hosted many events in the past and will be leading people in working on her original work “In the Moonlight.”

Patrick Myers, the Center Theatre’s executive director, is looking forward to the artistic event. “The Theatre is here to provide arts, entertainment, and education for our community,” he said. “We take that educational role very seriously. We’re proud to host an event like this that is open to all ages and gives people an outlet for their artistic urges.”

Myers said the cost for the paint and sip includes all materials, food, and drink. Tickets are on sale at www.CenterTheatre.org or at the theatre box office. The Center Theatre is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to bringing affordable entertainment, art, and education to the community.
