All-conference track honorees

The area’s five high schools all had representation on the 2017 Penobscot Valley Conference (PVC) All-Conference Outdoor Track Teams.

Foxcroft Academy’s Emily Mikoud was chosen for the PVC Girls Large School Second Team in both the discus and the shot put.

Pony sprinter Evan Chadbourne was a Boys Large School Second Team pick in both the 100 and 200. Teammate Matt Storer was selected for the Second Team in the discus and shot put.

The PVC Girls Small School First Team includes Cymeria Robshaw of Penquis Valley High School in the 100 as well as Dexter Regional High School’s Rebecca Batron in the shot put.

The PVC Girls Small School Second Team features Danielle Cummings of Dexter in the 100 and 200, Mya Young of Piscataquis Community High School in the high jump, Robshaw in the long jump, Jordan Durant of Penquis in the triple jump, Penquis’ Kayla Harmon in the javelin and the Dexter 4×100 relay squad (Erin Bache, Lily Cummings, Danielle Cummings and Autumn Irwin).

For the PVC Boys Small School Second Team, Brandon Allen was named to the squad in the high, long and triple jumps. Devin Boone of Greenville High School was chosen in both the discus and shot put.

The 2017 PVC Outdoor Track All-Academic Team includes Allen, Jacob Hesseltine and Zach White of Dexter, Foxcroft Academy’s Caleb Buerger, Ethan Poland and Emily Sprecher, Trajden MacFadyen of Greenville and Penquis’ Candace Chase, Krista Dearborn and Durant.
