MEMORIAL DAY IN DOVER-FOXCROFT — After a year’s absence on account of inclement weather in 2016, the Memorial Day parade returned to Dover-Foxcroft on Monday morning. The procession began on Summer Street and traveled to Monument Square where State Rep. Norm Higgins, R-Dover-Foxcroft, served as the guest speaker. The day’s observance of all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country included a wreath and flower tossing into the Piscataquis River on the East Main Street bridge and then the parade moved up East Main Street to the courthouse.
