Foxcroft Youth/SeDoMoCha wrestlers compete at New England finals

PORTLAND — The Foxcroft Youth and SeDoMoCha Middle School wrestling teams compete in the annual Marshwood New England Youth Wrestling Championships on April 1.

This event was held at the Cross Insurance Arena, formerly know as the Cumberland Civic Center. The bad weather did not damper the event or the spirits of the wrestlers, as over 2,000 grapplers from the six New England states from pre-kindergarten to grade 8 participated. The two Dover-Foxcroft-based wrestling teams sent 27 wrestlers to the event.

For the Eagles, both Robert Weymouth and Tanyon Gibbs finished in fourth place in their weight classes.
Earning New England runner-up status was Kain Niland and AJ Atkinson.
Gage Beaudry earned a New England championship for the second year in a row.
