ORONO — The Foxcroft Academy boys and girls indoor track and field teams each finished eighth in a field of eight schools at a Penobscot Valley Conference/Eastern Maine Indoor Track League meet on Jan. 21 at the University of Maine. The Pony boys recorded six points and the girls picked up three.
Senior Evan Chadbourne tied for third in the 55 with Old Town High School sophomore Liang-Kang Lin as the two each finished with times of 7.06 seconds.
Chadbourne also anchored the sixth-place 4×200 relay team. Freshmen Cole Edgerly, Ethan Curtis and Isaac Weymouth and Chadbourne combined for a time of 1:56.34.
Dexter Regional High School freshman Chris Roderka ran in the two-mile and while he competed as a non-scoring individual, Roderka had the meet’s fifth best time in the event. Roderka ran the two miles in 11:20.56.
Leading the way for the girls from Foxcroft was the school’s 4×200 relay. Sophomore Jacki Pelletier and freshmen Cheyenne Skomars, Sadie Avellar and Mackenzie Harmon together had a time of 2:16.32 to come in fifth.
Harmon added a sixth-place performance in the 55 hurdles in a time of 12.20 seconds.
