Women’s club news

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Fifteen General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC)/Miosac Club members recently met at the home of Barb Austin for a fun-filled evening. A social hour was enjoyed and delicious foods prepared by the members were enjoyed.
Following the feast, members gathered around the Christmas tree where there were presents to be opened. At a precious meeting, members drew names and were instructed to buy a gift that reminded us of that person for a child. As gifts were opened member had to guess who the person was. It was lots of fun, some being real easy and with some the giver had to disclose the names. All gifts will given to the Dover-Foxcroft Kiwanis Community Christmas.
The gifts that members had purchased earlier with our donated money were on display. With all the gifts, GFWC/Miosac Club helped ensure that many children will be able to have a Merry Christmas. This is an ongoing project for the club which is a volunteer service organization. We are very proud of our work.
