THREE-GOAL DAY — Dexter’s Cally Gudroe scored three times in the Tigers’ 5-0 preliminary round victory vs. Mt. View on Oct. 21. Sixth-seeded Dexter advanced to the Class C North quarterfinals for the fifth consecutive tourney.

The scoring began nearly five minutes into play as Abilene Corson had the ball near the Mustang goal. She passed back to Gudroe near the top of the box and Gudroe’s shot went up and in to put Dexter on the scoreboard at the 35:07-mark.

Just over four minutes later Dexter struck again as Corson broke away from the defense and put the ball in for what would turn out to be an insurance goal at the 31:09-mark. Claire Fogler assisted on the play.

Jillean Poliquin and Gudroe both picked up unassisted goals later in the opening 40-minute session for the 4-0 advantage.
