D-F Kiwanis and D-F Congregational Church team up to help families at Christmas

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Need help providing for your family this Christmas?

If your family lives in one of the towns served by RSU 68 (Charleston, Dover-Foxcroft, Monson, and Sebec) and your family needs assistance in providing warm winter clothing and a gift for each of your children (ages infant to 18), the Kiwanis Club of Dover-Foxcroft and the Dover-Foxcroft Congregational Church may be able to help.

Complete an application through the FaceBook page:  Df Kiwanis. Look for the picture of Mr. & Mrs. Claus and scroll down to “Need help providing for Christmas?” Click on the Christmas Project Link which will be available through Nov. 19 only. You can otherwise pick up an application at the Piscataquis Chamber of Commerce office on South Street, or the Dover-Foxcroft Congregational Church office. Just fill it out and mail it to the address on that letterhead. But remember, you must have submitted the application by the deadline, Nove. 20.  The program will be closed after that date.

Can you provide help for a family?

We saw last year that the need was greater than ever. A record-breaking 200 children were served. So, if you or your organization can help – please consider becoming an “ADOPTER.”  To do so, you may email us at dfkiwanischarities@gmail.com with your contact information and the number of children you can “adopt.” Or you may call our Kiwanis phone number at 207-270-0536.

For over 80 years, the Kiwanis Club of Dover-Foxcroft has been proud to sponsor a variety of programs that benefit the children in our community. We Kiwanians enjoy the opportunity to organize and work together with area churches, charitable organizations, businesses, generous individuals, and families to make a difference in the life of children, especially at this time of year.
