Code of ethics recap
To the Editor:
Only about just over 15 percent of the 680 last gubernatorial election voters, came to the annual town meeting.
That means that about 85 percent of the voters did not come to have their voices heard. Of that 15 percent that did show up, just under 10 percent voted “no” and just over 5 percent voted “yes.”
We did accomplish what we set out to do, as in getting the code of ethics ordinance in front of the people to vote on,
I personally would like to thank all of you 15 percent that did show up to be part of the democratic process.
As for the 85 percent of you that did not come to vote I would say your vote does count, and if you want your voice to be heard you should come and be part of this democratic process for at least this one day of the year. I sincerely hope to see you at the next annual town meeting 2016 or any special town meeting that may come up throughout the year.
